Coming home to your heart: Why heart coherence matters
By Arzu Dogan
February can sometimes feel quietly heavy when it arrives.
The pace of life suddenly resumes. Work, family, expectations and responsibilities return in full force. After the fullness of summer and the intensity of December and January, many people find themselves feeling depleted - moving forward yet disconnected from themselves.
This is often when I see it most clearly: women living from the head, while the heart waits to be heard.
When we are constantly busy, overstimulated or overwhelmed, the heart can fall out of rhythm. The nervous system shifts into survival. Stress hormones rise. Our inner world becomes noisy. We lose clarity, intuition and ease - not because they’ve disappeared, but because we’re no longer listening.
This is why coming back to the heart is not a luxury. It is a necessity.

Why the heart matters
The heart is far more than a physical organ. It is an energetic centre, a powerful regulator of our emotional and physiological state, and a gateway to our inner guidance system.
When the heart and brain are in coherence - working in harmony rather than opposition - the body feels safe. The mind softens. Decisions become clearer. Emotions regulate. We respond rather than react.
Heart-brain coherence is not something we can force. It’s something we allow - through presence, breath, awareness and gentle practices that signal safety to the nervous system.
When we return to the heart, we return to balance.
A space to pause, reset and re-align
My upcoming retreat, Coming Home to Your Heart: Finding Coherence & Harmony has been lovingly designed to feel like a sanctuary within your life - not away from it.
This three-hour immersion offers women the opportunity to slow down, tune inward and reconnect with themselves at a deeper level. Through guided meditation, somatic movement, heart-centred reflection, intention-setting and soulful conversation, we create space for the body and heart to soften and open.
This is not about fixing or becoming someone new. It’s about remembering who you are beneath the noise.
Participants often leave feeling:
· Calmer and more regulated
· Clearer in their thoughts and intentions
· More connected to their intuition
· Replenished rather than depleted
· Gently anchored back into themselves
It is both restorative and activating - a reset that supports you as you step back into life with more ease and alignment.
The power of gathering as women
There is something deeply healing about being in a room where you don’t need to explain yourself.
Women’s circles have long been spaces of wisdom, connection and empowerment. When women gather with intention, the nervous system settles, the heart opens and stories soften.
This retreat offers a safe, nurturing space to be seen, heard and supported - without pressure, performance or expectation. Just presence, truth, connection.
Meeting you where you are
You don’t need prior experience with meditation, energy work or self-reflection to attend.
Whether you are new to this type of work or already walking a conscious path, this retreat meets you exactly where you are. Every practice is an invitation, not a requirement. Your journey is honoured in its own timing.
This is for women who feel ready to listen more deeply - to themselves, to their hearts, to what is quietly asking for attention.
An Invitation from the Heart
If your cup feels empty…
If your nervous system feels stretched…
If you’re craving clarity, softness and inner harmony…
This is your invitation to pause, recalibrate and come home to your heart.
Because when the heart is in coherence, life begins to flow with more ease, purpose and love.
