Getting to Know... Will Rivera
There's a particular kind of energy Will brings into a room - the kind you notice before he's even said a word. Part Brooklyn cool, part genuine warmth, all commitment. Born in Manhattan and raised across Brooklyn and the Bronx, Will arrived in Melbourne by one of those quietly meant-to-be routes, and has been making an impression ever since.
As Trinity's personal trainer, Will brings a deeply personal philosophy to his work: fitness as something that ripples outward, that changes not just the person doing the work but everyone around them. He's currently advancing his strength and conditioning expertise with a focus on athletic performance - but at his core, he's driven by the same thing that started it all: believing in people.

Here's a little more about Will, in his own words.
What inspired you to become a personal trainer - and to join TCW?
Covid changed the landscape for a lot of us. I started training for myself, but it was my family who first pushed me toward eating better - through a bit of friendly challenge and competition. Once I got fit, I noticed it was starting to inspire the people around me, and that feeling led me to get certified, build my own company, and eventually land my first PT role. I'm currently advancing my strength and conditioning knowledge with a focus on working with athletes here in Melbourne.
Joining Trinity came about in the most organic way - I was training her (founder, Trinity) elsewhere and we got talking about me coming to Trinity Curated Wellness. I believe you go where you're celebrated, and from the moment I joined TCW, I felt that. Having people genuinely believe in you makes all the difference.
Are you from Melbourne?
Not even close. I'm a New Yorker through and through - born in Manhattan, raised in Brooklyn and the Bronx. I never imagined leaving New York City. Living in Armadale is still kind of mind-blowing, honestly.
What's your go-to comfort food?
Anything peanut butter - banana, honey, you name it. I'll find a way.
What's a song or album you'll never get tired of?
Too many to name, but the music I grew up with holds the best memories - Hall & Oates, Luther Vandross, Michael Jackson (who I actually met), then later Nas, Biggie, Tupac, and more recently Kendrick Lamar (met him too), J. Cole, Gunna. I worked for years at one of New York's biggest record stores - locations in Times Square and Union Square - so my taste spans pretty much everything: R&B, rock, jazz, country, hip-hop. Many tunes for many moods.
Best vacation you've ever been on?
Hawaii, without question - followed closely by France, with an honourable mention to Puerto Rico.
If you could have dinner with three people, living or dead, who would they be?
My grandma Gloria, Veronica, and Jesus.
Go-to weekend activity when you're not working?
Boxing on Sundays has become non-negotiable. I love the tactical side of the sport - the technique, the strategy. And honestly, I find it therapeutic. It's movement as meditation.
If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?
This question brings out the nerd in me. I'd have to be Norrin Radd - the Silver Surfer, created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee at Marvel. No further explanation needed.
If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be?
Alchemy and forensics. Separately. Or combined - actually, maybe especially combined.
What's a fun fact most people don't know about you?
I have a very silly side that only comes out when I feel safe around someone. Also - I've done some small acting bits here in Melbourne that I've kept very much under wraps. Until now, apparently.
One wellness habit you can't live without?
Infrared saunas are up there. So are beach walks - I've made it a proper habit to discover new coastal spots and scenic routes, especially in summer. And barefoot in the grass, some sun, a bit of grounding - it genuinely shifts my state every time.
